Description

About this Jeep Safari excursion to Masca

We’ll collect you from your accommodation or nearby point and take you to La Paz, in Puerto de la Cruz, the start of our four-wheeled adventure. During the Jeep Safari adventure you’ll reach places that cannot be reached any other way: that’s the advantage of doing high quality tourism in an ATV! You’ll make stops along the route and the Tamarán team will share stories, anecdotes and fascinating details about each place you visit.

Masca: a unique place in Tenerife

Masca is one of the highlights of the excursion and its houses are considered to be typical to the island due to their architecture and the age. You’ll also visit places such as Garachico—the village that was reborn from the ashes after being destroyed by a volcano over 300 years ago—, Santiago del Teide and the Los Gigantes cliffs. You’ll stop to eat in a restaurant in El Tanque where you can enjoy Canary Islands cuisine surrounded by camels; when you’ve finished the route, we’ll drive you back to the collection point.

Drago de Icod

The powerful Drago Milenario stretches up to the skies, lord of all it surveys. This tree is a national treasure of the Canary Islands and is the tallest and oldest specimen of this species in the world.

Mirador de la Corona

Spectacular viewpoint at an altitude of 750 m which offers views over the stunning La Orotava valley and the north-west of Tenerife. Don’t forget your camera!

Erjos

This small village of enchanting houses is postcard-perfect as it is set in the greenest, most unspoilt area of the island with the magnificent Mount Teide in the distance. Travel its streets on our Jeep Safari and be soothed by its calm and tranquillity.

Masca

You can count on the fingers of one hand the places in Tenerife that still have Masca’s traditional charm. This picturesque hamlet is the best example of native Canary Islands architecture and you’ll love visiting it on this excursion.

Garachico

This small village is the living image of resurrection after a natural disaster. Laid waste in 1706 by the Trevejo volcano, it was reborn from the ashes more beautiful than ever and now its streets are filled with a special charm.

Los Silos

We’ll travel through an area where the famous Canary Islands banana is grown, something you’re sure to be familiar with. The Tamarán team will tell you everything there is to know about this world-famous fruit and you’ll learn why it’s only grown in this tiny corner of the world.
