Description

About this Jeep Safari excursion around El Hierro

This small yet fascinating Canary Island is reached by ferry, departing from the Los Cristianos dock and sailing past La Gomera on route to your destination. El Hierro is an island of peace and enduring calm where you’re more likely to see a volcano than to run into other people, an island of forests teeming with wildlife and unforgettable landscapes. Come and immerse yourself in a unique world of nature and culture on a Jeep Safari around El Hierro excursion.

The perfect island for nature lovers

As soon as the ferry finishes its journey between the Los Cristianos dock and Puerto de la Estaca, you’ll immediately spot El Hierro’s wealth of nature. Landscapes, a volcanic environment found nowhere else in the world, dramatic cliffs, native species (some sadly on the path to extinction, such as the Giant Lizard), forest paths and routes, crystal-clear waters, an exuberance of plant life... Wherever you look as you travel by Jeep, you’re certain to be amazed. You’ll also make various stops at El Hierro’s most important sites such as the tiny farming villages of Erese and Tiñor, the spectacular El Golfo, and Las Puntas.

Travel in comfort in a 4x4 Jeep and hear the stories, anecdotes and tales of cultural history from the Tamarán team, who will ensure you have the best experience possible. Half-way through the journey, when you reach Frontera, you’ll stop to eat in a restaurant that serves local food; the perfect opportunity to sample the delights of Canary Islands cuisine in the best place possible. When you set off after lunch, you’ll head towards El Golfo, another important stop on this unique Jeep Safari excursion to El Hierro.
The experience finishes in the afternoon and you’ll be returned to the starting point having enjoyed a magical experience on an island you’ll never forget, as you treasure its lava formations, plunging cliffs, fresh air and much more in your memory forever.
